Why is Middle East Peace Plan Eschatology Relevant?

I’m guessing you’re here because you were curious what the word “Eschatology” has to do with Peace in the Middle East. Am I right? It has everything to do with how you perceive world history, present and future. There are two main views, the first would be as a secularist, the second would be as a believer in a higher power to control and shape “history” as we know it.  For those who are in the latter, eschatology is the theological study regarding the events leading up to the “End Times” of the world.

Leading the charge in eschatology is the Christian religion because of its study of the Bible. The entirety of biblical record basically boils down to understanding the first and second advents of the Messiah Jesus, and following the prophetical history of the promises Jehovah made to the Hebrews, later to be known as the Israelite’s (which I do at BookofRevelation.org).

It’s Not About What You Believe. It’s About What They Believe

Regardless of which camp you fall into (secular or eschatological), it’s important to understand the longstanding struggles in the Middle East are caused exclusively by the conflicting religious beliefs of the Jewish Israelis and the Islamic Arab countries that surround them. Trying to approach peace in the Middle East without understanding and addressing this fact is a guaranteed failure.

How Did This Struggle Begin?

So where did it all start? It may surprise you to know the origin of this struggle leads back to a tent where Abraham (then Abram), with the consent of his wife Sarah, coupled with his Egyptian servant Hagar, and she conceived his first son Ishmael, who became the father of the Arabs. You read that correctly, sex is the culprit.

If you’re interested in learning the back story in great detail, this page is for you. Below we will be posting selected scholarly teachings delivered by Joseph A. Cortes, of Faith Cometh By Hearing ministries. Mr. Cortes has been teaching on “The Last Days” for the past decade. He has over 300 lectures on this subject available for viewing at www.TeachingFaith.com. Simply go to the website and open the “Teaching Center” page. Among the many subject matters you will find the videos below in the “Last Days” series. Keep in mind the lectures are placed in the order they were recorded. It’s best to start with number one and work your way to the present, where Mr. Cortes is still adding to the series.

Additionally, you can visit www.NewStateofPalestine.com to hear his lectures associated with the videos below as it concerns the likelihood of there ever being a Two State solution for the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
